Children are vulnerable to a wide spectrum of illegal activities, ranging from libel to cyber bullying to armed assault.
Members of law enforcement, government, and the education community gathered on September 27, 2011, at the BCIU Education Centre to consider these threats and the resources available to help schools, communities, and families keep kids safe.
The third annual Keeping Kids Safe Conference focused on the topics of cyberbullying, Internet safety, and social networking. Presenters from the Center for Safe Schools discussed the role that the Internet and social networking play in the lives of students and the implications for these in regard to student safety.
