In schools across Pennsylvania, administrators and teachers are working to strengthen supports for effective teaching in our classrooms. One important emerging strategy is a new approach to teacher evaluation: one that is designed to improve educator practice and student achievement in all our schools.
Please join us at the BCIU Education Centre for a videoconference event connecting education, business, and community leaders throughout Pennsylvania.
Educators in schools where new evaluation systems are being piloted, along with Education Secretary Ron Tomalis, will lead a discussion about the impact their efforts are having on teachers and students. There will also be a presentation from local school leaders who plan to participate in PDE’s expanded pilot of the new teacher evaluation system.
This is a free event. Light refreshments will be served. So that we may be able to provide proper accommodations, we ask that you register by October 18, 2011.
