Career Pathways is a conduit for students to pursue careers that best fit their interests and skills. Career Pathways provides career information for students, aids them in choosing the right courses that will best meet their future career needs, and expands student opportunities for learning and career preparation.
Reading First is a key initiative of the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). Grants are awarded to states which then award sub-grants to school districts and schools to improve reading achievement for students in grades K-3.
Funds are allocated for professional development, scientifically based instructional materials and programs, valid and reliable screening, diagnostic and progress monitoring assessments, accountability measures, and leadership structures.
