Do you have school uniform clothing items that no longer fit your children? If so, there are children in the Reading School District who would be very happy to give them a second life.
Due to federal cutbacks, Pennsylvania’s Education for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness Program (formerly the Homeless Student Program) is unable to provide school uniforms to Reading School District students who are homeless. Please consider donating gently used or new school uniform clothing to this very worthy cause.
Collection boxes will be located in the lobbies of the BCIU Administrative Offices Building, Education Centre, and Transportation Center. When you drop off your donated clothing, please attach a slip of paper with your name, phone number, and email address (if you have one) on it. For every two articles of clothing you donate, one chance in your name will be entered into a raffle for prizes, which have been donated by local companies. One prize will be awarded to each of three winners.
Uniform clothing will be collected for Reading School District until May 31. Raffle prize winners will be announced on June 1, 2012.
Thank you for making a difference in the life of a student!
